The public is invited to attend the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays’ (Center) upcoming Citizens Advisory Committee–Citizens Café on April 25th from 6 – 8 PM. In honor of Earth Month, the group will be “talking trash” and learning about the various sources and types of and solutions to marine debris. Katie Morgan, Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program, will highlight the many efforts being done on the regional level (and beyond!) to combat this pervasive threat to coastal and marine environments. Lisa Swanger, Center Director of Outreach & Education, will also share updates on litter prevention and removal efforts taking place around the Inland Bays watershed.
There are two options for attending this hybrid meeting—in person at the Center’s office (39375 Inlet Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971) or virtually (information below).
