 Discover the power of oysters and their vital role in restoring our Inland Bays at this engaging and informative Citizens Café, hosted by the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (CIB). This free, hybrid event will bring together community members, experts, and coastal advocates to explore how oyster farming and restoration can support clean water and thriving local ecosystems. All are welcome to attend.

 Jordan Nally, Co-founder of Nancy James Oysters

Gain an inside look at the world of local oyster aquaculture, including:

  • A new floating longline system in Rehoboth Bay
  • Starting an oyster farm from the ground up
  • His experience on Delaware’s Aquaculture Task Force
  • What a typical day looks like for a Rehoboth Bay oyster farmer

 Morgan Krell, Science Technician, Delaware Center for the Inland Bays
Learn about CIB’s ongoing oyster restoration efforts, including:

  • The history and goals of CIB’s oyster programs
  • Construction of the newest reef at Pasture Point Cove
  • How the success of the reef will be monitored over time
