James Tully

Shellfish Program Specialist

James Tully joined the Center for the Inland Bays as an Shellfish Program Specialist in December 2021. This position involves assisting the oyster gardeners as they nurture and grow oysters and otherwise supporting the program goals.

After a career in the fire service in the Baltimore metropolitan area, and in emergency management at local, state, and federal agencies, Jim and his wife Rhonda moved to Bethany Beach in 2019. Since then, Jim has volunteered with the Center on several occasions, including the 2021 Osprey Survey.

Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in history and in mass communications from Towson State College, and a law degree from the University of Baltimore.

Since moving to Delmarva, Jim and his wife have enjoyed the beach life, paddling on the bays, swimming, and travel.
