Participants will walk towards the marsh at the James Farm Ecological Preserve and learn why marshes are one of the most important habitats in our Inland Bays watershed. We’ll also talk about the Center’s various research and restoration projects that focus on salt marshes!
Closed-toe shoes are encouraged. Please remember to bring water, sunscreen and insect repellant, if desired since the Preserve can be buggy.
Please note: Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present at all times. Thank you for your cooperation. By registering for this program you will be added to the Center’s e-newsletter.
Accessibility: We’ll be walking approximately 1-2 miles over various terrain (wooden boardwalks, tree roots, sand, etc.) with frequent stops.
This program is weather permitting. Attendance is free, pre-registration encouraged. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/602714203407
