The public is invited to attend the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays’ upcoming Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)–Citizens Café on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The Center is excited to introduce a panel discussion format with the theme of “Caring for the Land.” Four esteemed speakers will share their insights on managing the land and tackling the challenges under changing conditions in our watershed. Key discussion areas will include open space protection and management, cross-sector collaboration, and best practices for enhancing developed areas to promote water, ecosystem, and community health.
The esteemed members of the panel include Michelle Koenig, Director of Conservation and Watershed Planning, Delaware Center for the Inland Bays; Blake Moore, Extension Agent—Natural Resources, University of Delaware Cooperative Extension; Mike Harmer, County Engineer, Sussex County; and Burr Monroe, President, Tributaries LLC.
