Discover the power of the oyster! Participants will explore why oysters are essential in keeping our Inland Bays healthy and clean. Sometimes referred to as “Nature’s engineers” or “vacuums of the Bay,” oysters play a critical role in keeping our Inland Bays clean, as well as providing structural support for reefs for additional marine life.
Join us for a closer look at these amazing bivalves, including their anatomy, life cycle, and function. Learn more about oyster gardening efforts throughout the Inland Bays and the impact of restoration efforts on this crucial mollusk.
