Born and raised in Sussex County, Caitlin is passionate about preserving the beauty, wonder, resources, and unique character of the area. A proud graduate of Delaware Technical Community College with a degree in Communications, she honed her communications, marketing, and event planning skills with the Lewes Historical Society and Southern Delaware Tourism prior to her work at the Center. Caitlin also worked for five years as a special education para-professional in the Indian River School District. She currently serves as Education Chair for Next Generation Southern Delaware, a philanthropic circle of the Delaware Community Foundation, and is a board member of the Bridgeville Historical Society.

A Class V Delaware Master Naturalist, Caitlin loves spending as much time as possible outside and is fascinated by every aspect of nature, though she has a particular affinity for fish and bivalves and will never turn down an opportunity to wade into the Bays. Rarely spotted without her camera, she revels in the opportunity to document both the natural world and human connection whenever possible.

Caitlin takes great joy in using communications as a platform to connect people with the Center’s mission and the incredible ecosystem of the Bays–and to create space for people of all backgrounds and abilities to lean into the innate role we all possess as responsible stewards of our lands and waters.
