Participants in this program get closer to the Bays than ever before as they either assist or watch as Center staff seine shallow waters.
This hands-on exploration of the Inland Bays allows children to engage with the intertidal habitat in the best way possible! Participants will gently collect and view a Bay creature in an ‘observation tank’ provided. Center staff will facilitate inquisitive thinking by allowing young learners to apply their observations to make explanations about what they see through art and communication.
The Preserve is located at 30048 Cedar Neck Road, Ocean View, DE, 19970
The Center will follow the CDC’s guidance and the Governor’s orders regarding COVID-19. Fully vaccinated individuals may participate in our public programs without wearing a mask. Those that are not fully vaccinated, however, will be required to wear a mask and social distance. Hand sanitizer will continue to be available on-site and we kindly ask that all individuals, vaccinated and not, please stay home if they are sick.
Please note: We ask that you remain with your children throughout the event; due to licensing, children must be under parent/guardian supervision. Thank you for your cooperation.
